Owned by the town of Abita Springs, the Abita Springs Trailhead Museum is a quaint and quirky one-room museum, filled to the rafters with all kinds of memorabilia which recalls and showcases Abita Springs history and culture. The museum is operated by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, and there is no charge to visit.

The museum stages a series of changing exhibitions about the many facets of the regions’ history as well as regular art and craft exhibitions by local artists. If you choose to visit on a Sunday you can also enjoy the musicians who entertain at the local Farmer’s Market across the road.
