Review:
The Old Louisiana Governor's Mansion was Louisiana's official governor's residence between 1930 and 1963, before the construction of the state's current gubernatorial mansion. The venue, which is located within the heart of Baton Rouge's downtown district, is now operated as a living history home museum and is open to the public for private special event rentals, including wedding and reception rentals.
Couples can say their vows against the backdrop of a National Register of Historic Places-listed venue, which features unique architectural elements including a grand marble and wrought-iron staircase. Up to 450 guests can be accommodated for all events. Amenities for wedding days include onsite security, complimentary guest parking, and private bridal dressing suites.
