The Dickson Mounds State Museum explores and interprets the Dickson Mounds, an ancient Native American settlement site and burial mound complex near Lewistown in Fulton County. Situated on a low bluff overlooking the Illinois River, the burial complex features two cemeteries, ten burial mounds, and a single platform mound and is a National Register Historic Site.
