The McClendon House is a living history museum that features a range of exhibits displaying artifacts and documents from the Antebellum Period.

Located at 806 W. Houston Street, the house is famous for being the birthplace of Sarah McClendon, a correspondent for the White House, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Tyler historical landmark was built in the Victorian style with touches of Eastlake and Italianate details and is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays.
