Attracting over 150,000 visitors a year, GreenWood Forest Park was ranked the 8th best theme park in the UK by TripAdvisor. The park opened in 1993, and since then has been offering families a great place to visit during the summer. GreenWood comprises adventure playgrounds that allow visitors to participate in activities such as longbow shooting and climbing the TreeTop Towers. There are a number of rides, including the “world’s first people-powered roller coaster,” which runs on the weight of the people on the ride. Visitors of all ages will love the live shows and craft areas, including everything from a magic show to woodcarving.
