    • Yes! At other times, guests can view the snakes in nature center displays.
  • What can visitors experience in the gardens?
    • There are picturesque wildflower gardens featuring 16 varieties of plants that attract hummingbirds, finches, and other birds.
  • Are there hiking opportunities at the center?
    • Guests can hike two separate interpretive trails and three additional nature trails – the Bruffy Reserve Trail, Pocahontas Trail, and Cowpasture Trail.
  • Is mountain biking allowed?
    • A few mountain biking opportunities exist, including along the Cowpasture Trail, a 7-mile loop.
  • Does the center offer guided experiences?
    • Yes, the center provides guided outdoor experiences all year round.
  • Is backpacking available nearby?
    • Backpacking is available in the adjacent Cranberry Wilderness Area.
