Based in the beautifully preserved Grand Hôtel on Boulevard de la Croisette, the Centre D'art La Malmaison (La Malmaison Museum) showcases a collection of contemporary art through a variety of annual exhibitions. Built in 1863, the magnificent hotel in which the gallery is located converted its games and tea rooms into museum space in 1983 and hosts two major expositions annually with works by both famous artists who were inspired by the Cote d'Azur. Prominent artists featured in the museum's collection include Picasso, Matisse, César, Masson, Miró, and Ozenfant, along with other 20th and 21st-century contemporary artists.
