Established in 1899,Mount Rainier National Park is one of the oldest national parks in the entire world, and it boasts some truly impressive mountains and glaciers. The park is divided into five different areas, but one of the most accessible is Sunrise, which also boasts many of the best hikes. Some of the trails have snow on them until the middle of July, but if you want to see some beautiful wildflowers in bloom, July and August are the best times to come. If you'd rather snowshoe or cross-country ski, check out Paradise, which can be found on the mountain's south side.
