Crater Lake National Park is a stunning Cascade Mountains national park anchored around the mountain lake of the same name, formed within the collapsed caldera of dormant volcanic mountain Mount Mazama. The lovely southern Oregon national park is home to spectacular natural wonders like the Wizard Island cinder code and the spectacular Rim Drive scenic drive, which offers unparalleled views of the region's volcanic national wonders. The lake itself is North America's second-deepest lake, reaching depths of nearly 2,000 feet at its deepest point and offering excellent opportunities for swimming and boating. Two campgrounds are offered throughout the park, taking reservations for overnight RV and tent camping throughout the year. All campsites allow pets on leashes of up to six feet.
