Gone Creek Campground is a gorgeous campground located on the edge of Timothy Lake, nestled within the shadows of Oregon's majestic Mount Hood, near the city of Sandy. The lushly-forested campground is located at an elevation of nearly 3,400 feet within gorgeous mixed conifer forest habitats on the banks of the 1,400-acre lake, which was created in 1956. It is home to a plethora of single-family campsites, including pet-friendly tent campsites and RV hookup campsites. Each site offers campfire rings, day-use picnic sites, and barbecue grills and provides access to vault toilets and drinking water. Nearby within the Mount Hood National Forest, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, including chances for swimming, fishing, boating, sailing, and windsurfing on the lake's waters.
