Max Dale's Steak and Chop House has been one of the Skagit Valley's premiere steakhouses for more than 50 years, opened in 1951 by married duo Pauline and Max Dale. The restaurant, which is managed today by Danny and Paul Pickering of sister restaurant Stanwood Grill, serves up award-winning Northwest steaks and seafood selections paired with fresh, locally-grown produce, available at lunch and dinner throughout the week. Entree favorites include delicious selections like prawn risotto tossed with Andouille sausage, pan-fried Pacific Northwest oysters, and boneless beer-braised short ribs with frizzled onion straws, paired with USDA Prime steak cuts. An extensive wine selection is complemented by local microbrews and a rare whiskey library.
