The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, commonly referred to as TVRM, is a lovely heritage railroad and museum in Chattanooga, originally founded in 1960 as a chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. The museum offers heritage railroad excursions embarking from rail stations at Chattanooga and Etowah, traversing through area landmarks such as the Whiteside Tunnel.

One-hour roundtrip excursions are offered throughout the year, along with half-day excursions to Bald Mountain's Hiwassee Loop. Historic locomotives operated by the railroad include 19th and 20th-century locomotives constructed by Baldwin Locomotive Works, the American Locomotive Company, and Montreal Locomotive Works. Many of the company's delightful locomotives and train cars have been featured in major motion pictures and television series, including Some Like It Hot, October Sky, and Water for Elephants.
