A visit to Palestine is a must on any history buffs Texan itinerary. The town lies at the western terminus of the Texas State Railway and boasts a large number of historic buildings and sites. Besides walking around the town to see all the wonderful architecture and heritage sites, the most popular attraction in town is the Railroad Heritage Center, where you can admire several exhibits and take a scenic train ride aboard one of the center’s beautiful steam trains. Children of all ages will love the Curious Museum. Palestine also offers excellent outdoor activities and great shopping and dining.
