Established by Andrew Little, the unique coffee shop serves fantastic coffee and light bites, as well as offers bicycle tune-ups, and advice on all things cycling. The dynamic social hub serves a range of house-brewed coffee from americano and espresso to cappuccino and macchiato, along with specialty coffee drinks, hot and iced teas, and fruit juices, along with a menu of light bites such as freshly baked pastries, muffins, and cookies. 2. Black Rock Coffee Bar

Black Rock Coffee Bar is a locally owned and operated coffee bar that serves coffee from globally-sourced beans which are house-roasted to perfection and served with passion. Black Rock has three distinctive coffee blends, namely Old Town, which is a medium-dark roast; Steel Bridge – a custom-blended Vienna- style dark roast with stark flavors; and Pearl – a single-origin light roast with distinctive characteristics. Owned by mother-and-daughter team, Tammy Jenkins and Lyndsey Hopkins, the casual café features warm dark wood décor and big, comfortable chairs where visitors can sip house-roasted coffee, locally crafted beers, and brews, and easy-drinking wines. The coffee menu features coffeehouse classics such as multiple pour-over options, cold blends, and smoothies, while the brewery side of the business offers a range of local craft beers and wines, and an interesting combination of both – think espresso poured into a local stout known as the brew-on-brew. A menu of light fare offers breakfast, toasts, and snacks throughout the day, and the coffeehouse/brewery is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Driven by a love for Boise, the owners of the Coffee Studio wanted to create a spot where locals and visitors alike could come to connect, create, and innovate over excellent house-roasted coffee, and they did just that. Boasting comfy décor with wooden tables and chairs, bright yellow walls, plush sofas, and a crackling fireplace in the winter, the coffee shop is a popular spot to hang out. 5. Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters Downtown

Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters Downtown is a low-key hangout and neighborhood gathering spot with bright artworks on the walls that serves house-roasted coffee, espresso drinks, and freshly baked goods in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Named after owner Dave’s son, Dawson, the coffee shop has been roasting exceptional, artisan coffee since 1995 and has two locations across town, where coffee is freshly roasted on a daily basis in two traditional European drum-style roasters. The roastery on 8th Street in the heart of downtown Boise offers tours of the roastery where visitors can watch the roasting process and enjoy freshly brewed coffee drinks at the pour-over bar.
