Established in 1959 as NASA's first space flight center, the Goddard Space Flight Center is now one of NASA's largest and most important space research laboratories. Anyone wishing to learn more about the work being done there can go to the Goddard Visitor Center, which features displays of spacecraft and various other technologies that have been developed at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
