Review:
Staying at the Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast gives you access to a Queen Anne Victorian home that was built in 1892. It has been lovingly restored, showcasing original features and antiquity while still offering modern amenities. There are four suites to choose from, with features such as king-sized brass beds in curtained alcoves, open-loft bedrooms with double beds, sitting areas, private balconies with rocking chairs, roof-top decks with a chiminea and water-fall garden, cable TV, separate shower, large bath with a sunken whirlpool that holds two, living and dining areas, full kitchens, vaulted ceilings, skylights, daybed, and/or a gas fireplace. One room even has seven sides and a ceiling painted to feature birds and clouds. Guests will feel compelled to explore the full building to admire the three-story turret, six fireplaces, grand staircase, oval beveled windows, crystal chandelier in the front hall, and hand-painted plasterwork. Common areas include the living room with a baby grand piano, the dining room, and numerous porches. Guests can opt for an in-room massage, which requires an appointment. The full daily breakfast is served in the dining room.
