Founded in the 1980’s, the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum focuses on sharing the story of the interesting city of Sandy Springs, just outside of bustling Atlanta, Georgia. Located within the historic Williams-Payne House, which dates back to the 1860’s, the museum features a permanent exhibit that shows the chronological history of the region, along with the history of the people who have inhabited the land, including life in rural Georgia and the Civil War era. In addition to the permanent exhibit, the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum also includes a number of rotating galleries featuring different period artifacts throughout the year.
