UTEP Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens , established in 1936, is home to an extensive collections and permanent exhibits that highlight both the naturaland cultural history of the Chihuahuan Desert region. The natural history exhibits display information about animals, geology and paleontology of the El Paso region.

Additionally, visitors can view the plants, animals, landscapes, and gardens of the Chihuahuan Desert. There are permanent ethnological exhibits and archaeological exhibits within the museum. The museum also offers events in the form of lectures on the museum’s scholarly findings.
