Located on the banks of the Savannah River is the Savannah Rapids Visitor Center . Set against the backdrop of the river, the visitor’s center was once the home of the Lockkeeper. Alongside the visitor’s center, the cottage also serves as a museum house where recreations have been set up in the Lockkeeper’s bedroom.
