As stately and impressive today as when it was built in 1857, the Belvedere Mansion is one of the finest buildings in historic Galena.
The beautiful Italianate mansion boasts 22 rooms and offers visitors a rare glimpse into the life and times of the many generations who called it home. The mansion features lavish interiors furnished with many original period pieces. Highlights of your tour will be ascending the grand staircase and admiring a brilliant collection of extraordinary period chandeliers. The Mansion is open to the public from May to October and free tours of the interior are offered every 15min. Visitors are welcome to tour the beautiful formal gardens at their leisure.
