Located in the heart of the historic Hudson Riverfront, the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum (MHCM) is dedicated to creating a community where young children can learn through exploration, examination, and discovery. The museum features an array of exhibitions and displays that focus on science, nature, art, music, and literacy and allows children to engage in interactive and immersive play to develop foundational skills and interpersonal connections through exploring, moving, pretending, creating, collaborating, and discovering.
Educational programs include playgroup workshops, StarLab Planetarium shows, summer camps, and field trips, as well as outreach programs for local schools. The museum also hosts a variety of special events throughout the year from art, music, and cultural programs to festive holiday celebrations.
