Review & FAQ:
Shea's Performing Arts Center in downtown Buffalo is a full-service performing arts center with the historic Buffalo Theatre as its crown jewel. First opening to the community in 1926, the theatre was a result of Michael Shea’s dream and received the nickname of the “Wonder Theatre.” The Buffalo Theatre originally operated as a movie house. Guests of the performing arts center today can watch a wide array of performances, such as family shows, concerts, ballets, operas, and touring Broadway musicals. Shea's Performing Arts Center also hosts a free classic film series and educational programs, as well as local school presentations.
