Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

When you’re interested in getting a nice long bike ride in or just want to stroll along a scenic path, the Neuse River Trail is one of Raleigh’s top options. The trail, which is ten feet wide and made of asphalt, stretches a total of 27.5 miles, making it the longest trail of its kind in North Carolina and the longest paved recreational trail between western Georgia and northern Virginia. The Neuse River Trail starts at Falls Lake Dam and ends at the border of Wake County. It runs across two awesome suspension bridges, several rivers, boardwalks, wetlands, and gorgeous tree-lined paths. Visitors to the river trail can access it via one of four access points in Raleigh: Horseshoe Farm Road, Athletic Park, Anderson Point Park, and Falls Lake Tailrace. Other activities to enjoy at Neuse River Greenway include kayaking, fishing, and canoeing.
