Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Historic Yates Mill County Park, named after the famous Yates Mill, is a special park with significance to Wake County. Yates Mill is one of 70 gristmills that served the county, and after 200 years, is the only one that still maintains operating condition. The mill is located within the park’s 174-acres, and it is undoubtedly the top attraction within this park in particular. But that’s not all that this county park has to offer as it is also home to several well-manicured gardens, lovely picnic shelters, educational exhibits, as well as a beautiful network of hiking and walking trails. The Park is also open to fishermen who want to spend a relaxing day by the waters, and many fun learning activities are often held within the park at the A.E. Finley Center for Education and Research for families and their youngsters.
