The Overlook Lodge is a rustic, very popular watering hole in Cincinnati’s Pleasant Ridge neighborhood. The bar decor is inspired by the 1980 movie The Shining and they will not let you forget it, with the creepy motel on a cork board and the crossed axes hanging on the wall. But the cozy feel of a mountain lodge, also a reference to the movie, and the relaxed vibe of the place are very inviting. While they make spectacular cocktails, they will not make you self-conscious if you order a Miller Light. It is not unexpected that their signature drink is called The Hatchet. There is live music every Saturday and Sunday. There is no kitchen but they do serve great jerkies and exotic trail mixes.
