A popular meeting place for Cincinnati locals, Smale Riverfront Park connects downtown Cincinnati with the Ohio River and with other riverfront parks. The park spreads over two levels – the upper level is actually the grassy roof of a convenient parking garage and is used for various events and functions. The park covers around 45 acres and provides recreational facilities like a paved walking/running/cycling trail, attractive landscaping and a series of wonderful porch-type swings facing the river. There is a splash park for younger visitors, as well as a playground, foot piano, picnic area and a vintage carousel. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the park at no charge.
