Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

Also known as the Ned Brown Forest Preserve, Busse Woods is a 3,558-acre section within the Cook County Forest Preserve system. It is one of the biggest, and most diverse, portions of the preserve. Busse Woods is also home to unique sections of nature like a lovely elk pasture, close to 13 miles of paved recreational trails, and ancient upland forests. Additionally, the Busse Woods features some of the largest waters for fishing and boating in the entire county. With all of this to offer and more, it’s no surprise that Busse Woods has become one of the most popular recreational and natural destinations in all of Illinois.
