Review:

The Connecticut Trolley Museum is dedicated to electric railroading in the United States. Founded in 1940, the museum features over 70 pieces of rail equipment dating back to 1869, including historic passenger and freight trolley cars, service cars, interurban cars, elevated railway cars, locomotives, and a wide variety of railroad equipment. The museum’s signature exhibit “The History and Evolution of the Electric Trolley and its Impact on Society” takes visitors back in time to learn about the development of the electric trolley from the horsecar and on to the modern locomotive. The museum’s Visitor Center also offers a train table, plenty of games and activities, and unlimited trolley rides for the day.
