Does anything say striking when it comes to wedding photos quite like an art museum? The unique pieces in the New Britain Museum of American Art will make a memorable backdrop for any wedding. The museum has two event spaces, which are both best suited to smaller events of up to 150 for a seated dinner reception, though they can accommodate up to 285 for a standing or cocktail event.
The Cafe on the Park is a beautiful venue with 940 square feet of space and some huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking Walnut Hill Park. The other event space is called the Stanley Works Center, and it has cherry-paneled walls and over two thousand square feet of space. Couples will have access to both for their event, with dinner in the Stanley Works Center and a bar and dance area in the cafe, as well as free reign to explore the museum and galleries during cocktail hour.
