The beautiful and historical Ballard Park is a great place for relaxation, recreation, and learning. Sprawled over five acres, the enormous park is home to majestic trees and colorful gardens— the perfect place to witness the wondrous change of seasons in New England. It's a safe, peaceful setting for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful getaway from the busy town. The park also has several event sites for the occasional concert or special celebration, along with other recreational areas. Visitors can also appreciate the history associated with the park, as the land was previously owned by Colonel Burr Bradley and then afterwards by Elizabeth Ballard until her estate donated it to the town in 1964. The Ballard residence can still be found on the park grounds today.
