Review:
Originally the summer residence Colonel Clarens S Wadsworth, the historic Wadsworth Mansion was previously known as Long Hill. Surrounding the mansion, 500 acres of land was converted into a working landscape. The areas closest to the mansion were formally landscaped, while the further reaches contained forests and meadows. Today’s visitors can enjoy getting back to nature by exploring nature trails through the estate. After a massive restoration program, the Mansion was restored to its former glory in 1999 and is once again a popular event venue. You can tour the historic mansion every Wednesday afternoon. The grounds are regularly open to the public for open-air markets, festivals and music concerts.
