K LaMay's Steamed Cheeseburgers first opened in Meriden, Connecticut in 2006 in the back part of Garryowen’s Pub. The business began by servingly freshly cooked, delicious sandwiches to the pub’s patrons and those of the public coming in for the town’s new burger. An option for delivery started and K LaMay's Steamed Cheeseburgers quickly grew a base of loyal customers, followed by moving to its present day location. K LaMay's Steamed Cheeseburgers is open Monday to Saturday from 10:30am until 8:00pm and on Sundays from 11:00am until 3:00pm. Meriden has now become known as “the steamed cheeseburger capital.”
