The Henry Carter Hull Library came to be in 1910 when a group of twelve young women decided to organize and incorporate the Clinton Public Library Association. They started with 925 books on the second floor of the Eliot Building, above the Clinton National Bank. Eventually, their collection enhanced as did their need for a larger space; Henry Carter Hull, who was the bank president, and his family over the years have made significant contributions to ensure that the library grew into the magnificent establishment it is today. In addition to the books and other media you can access and borrow, the library is also home to an array of events throughout the year including yoga, film screenings, Lego club, book clubs, meetings, and so much more.

9. Lobster Landing

Lobster Landing is the brainchild of Italian immigrant Enea Bacci and his wife Cathie who bought the shoreline property when he saw it was for sale during a leisurely boat ride. They knew absolutely nothing about lobsters but chose to start their restaurant by learning everything they needed to know from local fisherman and residents. Little did they know that they would be producing one of the most renowned lobster rolls in the entire state - one that attracts people from near and far. Their simple menu includes two other items: a hot Italian sausage and a hot dog.
