Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a family-friendly resort with hot mineral springs, lodging and a variety of activities to enjoy from hiking to picnicking. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the Park is located next to the Hot Springs Creek on County Road and is just a short drive or shuttle trip from downtown Steamboat Springs. Tucked between Rocky Peak and Copper Ridge, just outside of town, Strawberry Park Hot Springs attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Named for the more than 150 mineral springs in the local area, Steamboat Springs was used by the Ute Indians for their summer home before the arrival of the first pioneer settlers. The Ute Indians believed the mineral springs had the power to rejuvenate both spirit and strength and once the colonists arrived, they also began seeking the restorative strength of the hot springs.
Hailed as the ‘Most Scenic Hot Springs in Steamboat,’ Strawberry Park Hot Springs features beautiful stone mineral pools with 104-degree mineral water that flow from the hillside into the creek and pools below, picnic areas with changing rooms and restrooms, and overnight lodging. There are several pools with different temperatures in the Park, ranging from +/- 104 degrees to a cold plunge pool. Activities include private massages and Watsu therapy, hiking mountain biking, and snowshoeing trails in the nearby Routt National Forest.
