Despite the morbid name and subject matter, the ultimate aim of the Museum of Death is to make visitors appreciate life. The museum contains artwork done by serial killers, photos of infamous crime scenes, including those involving Charles Manson, collections of coffins and body bags, and historical execution devices. Exhibits focus on the art of the autopsy, death cults and serial killers, and much more. The grisly museum can be explored via a self-guided tour, which generally lasts about 1 hour, and although there is no age limit, visitors should be aware that the content of the museum is best viewed by mature audiences.
