Cerro Alto Campground is a lovely camping and hiking paradise located just outside the city of Morro Bay, which is a popular California destination for swimming, surfing, fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, and sailing throughout the year. Single-family tent and RV campsites are offered at the campground throughout the year, equipped with private picnic sites, barbecue grills, and campfire rings. All sites offer access to vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection bins, though no electric hookups are offered. Lovely recreational areas nearby offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding at sites like the four-mile Cerro Alto Trail. In the nearby town of Atascadero, visitors can enjoy excellent shopping and dining choices and a plethora of cultural attractions.
