Review & FAQ:

Swanston Park is named in honor of Sacramento cattle rancher Charles Swanston associated with the Swanston & Sons company, one of California's oldest business trademarks. The park, which was developed and opened in 1979, is home to a lovely seasonal splash pad park, which features multiple water spray jets and features for young visitors to frolic in throughout the summer months. Basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts are available for community play, while a children's playground provides safe play experiences for young visitors of all mobility levels. Community events and classes are held at the Swanston Community Center, which also offers private special event rental space. Several day-use picnic pavilions can also be rented for groups of up to 100.
