Southside Park is a delightful 20-acre Sacramento park best known for its creative Universal Universe playground, which features a myriad of design elements meant to evoke themes of outer space and the solar system. Brightly-colored play features include spring riders, self-propelled spin play units, climbing playscapes, and a miniature carousel. A small lake at the park offers several accessible fishing piers for anglers throughout the year, while a par course features four fitness stations for exercise buffs. A seasonal swimming pool and clubhouse are also offered, along with an outdoor amphitheater hosting special events and concerts throughout the year.
