Review & FAQ:
McKinley Park is home to one of Sacramento's most clever and acclaimed children's playgrounds, featuring design elements honoring the city's past century of civic achievement. The playground, which was constructed by a team of community volunteers, showcases an entry archway designed after the city's Alhambra Theater, along with riverboat, street trolley, and tower bridge play spaces. A large climbing wall and tree house provide active play experiences for older children, while a sand pit showcases murals and paintings by local Sacramento artists. Elsewhere at the park, visitors can make use of community-use tennis, soccer, softball, basketball and volleyball courts or swim throughout the summer months at the park's seasonal swimming pool.
