Located at Mare Island Shipyard, the Landing Craft Support Museum exists to showcase the 102 Landing Craft Support Vessel which saw active duty towards the end of WWII, when it took part in the Battle of Okinawa in Japan.

After the war the 102 saw duty in South East Asia until she was returned to the US in 2007.

The museum has been restoring and renovating the vintage vessel ever since and guided tours of the entire vessel are available to naval enthusiasts. The museum is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. Entrance and parking are free.
