Black Sheep Winery believes it is a little different from the rest of the Sierra Foothills wineries, hence their unusual name. Once your taste their big, bold Zinfandels and other Rhone varietals you will understand why the name is so fitting. Black Sheep Winery has been in production since 1984, when their first Amador Zinfandel made waves in the Foothills, and they continue to produce limited quantities of their distinctive premium wines. You can visit their tasting room in the historic yellow house on Main Street Murphys where you can try some of their new releases. Red wine enthusiasts should consider joining their Wine Club which offers discounted wine prices and access to limited releases.
