The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts venue located on the campus of the University of California, Davis. The center is dedicated to presenting an innovative program of diverse arts from contemporary music and dance to ballet, theatrical performances and orchestra. Named for the arts patron and vineyard owner Robert Mondavi, the state-of-the-art center features a striking façade comprising a sizeable glass-paneled lobby surrounded by sandstone and elegant interiors of the same stone. Facilities at the Mondavi Center include the 1,801-seat Jackson Hall, named after university professor William Jackson, and the 250-seater Vanderhoef Studio Theatre, named after former university Chancellor Larry N. Vanderhoef.
