Review:

Ancil Hoffman Park extends nearly 400 acres and is a wonderful place to spend the day outdoors with friends and family. The park is enclosed on two sides by the American River and is dotted with towering ancient oak trees. Visitors can start their adventure with a trip to the celebrated Effie Yeaw Nature Center and then take a walk on the trails. You may come across a herd of deer or one of the 100 species of birds that call the park home. Other aspects include being able to explore reconstructed Maidu Indian homes, picnicking in one of the designated areas, or playing a round of golf at the Ancil Hoffman Golf Course.
