Open only on select days, the Arizona Railway Museum lets you can take a self-guided tour around the yard to explore the equipment on display. Placards explain each piece and its historical significance. The yard is an open-air exhibit and comfortable shoes are recommended as the surface is made of crushed rocks. Free admission is offered during the annual Arizona Railway Day, which typically takes place near the end of February each year. Guests can also walk through the display building to take a look at small artifacts and the Gift Shop.
