Lehners Mammoth Kill Site is a historical and archaeological site that memorializes the killing of mammoths by ancient civilizations in 9000 BCE. The site revealed the bones of a variety of animals, as well as several early varieties of tools. Guests can read about the landmark on plaques, or charter a guided tour to the landmark. Lehners Mammoth Kill Site is located near the San Pedro Riparian Natural Conservation Area, so visitors can easily stop by for more history and outdoor recreation. There are no dining options or bathroom facilities, so visitors may want to plan accordingly.
