The Tigers for Tomorrow is a Wild Animal Preserve and Environmental Educational Center located at Untamed Mountain. The grounds are home to more than one hundred and sixty different animals, including African lions, mountain lions, tigers, black leopards, wolves, bear, and many more. The animal preserve is a “last stop preserve,” meaning that the animals who call the place home stay there for the remainder of their lives. Tigers for Tomorrow spans across one hundred and forty acres of Dekalb County and is open to visitors of all ages to come and safely see animals in their natural habitat.

Visitors can spend the day exploring the Noccalula Falls Park and choose to stay the night in the campground. Noccalula Falls cascades down more than ninety feet before the water arrives at the Black Creek ravine. Walking paths wind their way through main part of the park beginning at the Admissions Pavilion. The Petting Zoo lets kids get up close and personal with several animals, while the Pioneer Village offers a chance to learn about the past. Other features of the park include a playground, a souvenir shop, picnic pavilions, a miniature golf course, and the campground with more than 120 campsites.

The Wills Creek Vineyards is a part of the region’s North Alabama Wine Trail, which consists of six different wineries along the Appalachian Mountains. Visitors can pick up a Wine Trail Passport at Wills Creek. The winery is a place where Southern charm meets European tradition. The Tasting Room offers more than twenty different wine varietals for guests to try for free, as well as wine available to buy. Tours are also provided to give a glimpse into the winemaking process, in addition to monthly classes in winemaking and other special events. The outdoor deck offers great views of the Appalachian Mountain hills.

Visitors at the Mountain Top Flea Market will find a large assortment of different products throughout the massive market. Among the many food items, customers can try red hot chili peppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, and homemade ice cream. Other items include found at the flea market include toys, DVDs, CDs, games, fishing poles, hate, shoes, clothes, purses, accessories, name brand fingernail polish, and even birds among much more. The Mountain Top Flea Market opens at five in the morning, and includes places where visitors can have breakfast and lunch. The market first started in 1973 with only a handful of vendors.

Back Forty Beer Company gets its name from an old term in agriculture that refers to the forty acres of land located furthest from the barn. The back forty acres of land were historically the most difficult to maintain and end up being overlooked due the remote location.
