Attitash Mountain Resort opened to visitors in January of 1965. Due to its excellent services, as well as business strategy of limiting lines at ski lifts by restricting the number of ticket sales each day, the resort quickly became known in the area as the “Red Carpet Ski Area.” The skiing acreage of Attitash was dramatically expanded in the middle of the 1990’s by developing the area of Bear Peak. This included the addition of a high-speed chairlift, wider terrain for intermediate level skiing, and some of the most sought-after trails for alpine racing in the state of New Hampshire.
