The Mermaid Factory was created as a way to offer locals and especially visitors an opportunity to create their own hand-painted souvenir to commemorate their time in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Many people enjoy visiting the Mermaid Factory to select their own personal mermaid that they decorate to their liking as a memento of their time in Virginia. Combined with complimentary wine, painting your own mermaid has become quite a popular activity for anyone who visits the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.

Hours
The Mermaid Factory is open 6 days a week. Specific days and hours of operation are as follows:
Tuesday - Friday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Reservations
While walk-ins are welcome at the Mermaid Factory, reservations are highly recommended, even for smaller parties of just one or two people. The Mermaid Factory is often very busy and to ensure seating reservations are highly recommended. Reservations can be made by contacting the applicable location of choice.
For groups of 8 people or more, reservations and a $50 deposit is required. The $50 deposit will be refunded on the day of the visit.
Private Events
The Mermaid Factory is an excellent place to hold a private event such as a birthday party, bachelorette party, or just a fun gathering. The Virginia Beach studio can accommodate up to 36 guests, while the Norfolk studio can accommodate up to 25 guests.
Special pricing is available for private events. Customers can bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages if so desired.
Custom Mermaids
The Mermaid Factory offers custom-made mermaids that are decorated specifically for a particular corporation, business, company, or other entity. Some customers even purchase custom mermaids to commemorate special events such as births, anniversaries, birthdays, and even holidays. Pricing
The Mermaid Factory offers complete pricing of all of its mermaids that are available for painting and customization. Prices for the various mermaids do vary based on such factors such as whether a base is included, the types of materials used to create the mermaid, and the supplies that are provided for the customization and painting of the mermaid.
There are also prefinished mermaids that have already been painted and decorated for sale if so desired.
Gift Certificates
Give the gift of creativity with a Mermaid Factory gift certificate. Gift certificates can be purchased online. Purchasers can choose an e-gift certificate that is delivered via email or text or a regular gift certificate that is delivered via standard mail.
