1.Swift Creek Reservoir
The Swift Creek Reservoir is a 5.2 billion gallon, 156-acre artificial lake in the heart of Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County. The reservoir is an impoundment of Swift Creek created in order to provide water and electricity for the residents of Chesterfield Country, Virginia. It also provides ample opportunities for fishing and recreation. Very narrow for its size, the reservoir is open for fishing from dawn to dusk, year-round. The park provides canoes, kayaks, rowboats and paddleboats for rent. There is a boat ramp for private boats, but gasoline motors are forbidden. There is a two-per-day and 15-inch minimum size limit on largemouth bass. Pocohontas State Park offers camping, cabins, a swimming pool, hiking trails, meeting facilities, restrooms with hot showers, grills, picnic tables and lantern holders.
