Once a mining town, Park City, Utah, has evolved into a dining destination nestled within the Rocky Mountains. In particular, the city’s historic Main Street is renowned for locally owned restaurants that exhibit an extraordinary standard of quality across the board, and Park City Food Tours has devised a tour that will stimulate both your taste buds and your mind.
Whether you are in the area on a ski vacation or are passing through to enjoy the natural beauty that blooms in summer, a tour of Park City’s Main Street foodie scene is a must.
What to Expect
With tours running multiple times a day, tour guides are tasked with making sure that no two tours are alike, so you know that you’re always in for a new adventure. For two to three hours, you will be fed cultural tidbits, beautiful art displays, and terrific tales with intermittent culinary delights along the way.
As you stroll up and down the picturesque Main Street, you will be able to pop into the shops and restaurants at your leisure. However, you don’t want to dally too long. Park City Food Tours has nurtured relationships with restaurants up and down the roadway, so there will be plenty to see and you won’t want to miss a thing.
When you’ve finished the tour, you’ll suddenly find yourself at the bottom of a rather steep hill. While you’ll probably be thanking your guide for choosing to lead the tour downhill instead of up, coming back can be daunting. Don’t worry though – the city provides a trolley that will chauffer you back to the top of the hill free of charge.
In order to allow the participating restaurants adequate time to prepare a meal and accommodate tour attendees, you are required to purchase your tickets at least 24 hours in advance.
By the same token, due to the advanced preparation that is required for each tour, there are no refunds available. However, you are able to reschedule the date of your tour if you provide 48 hours’ notice.
If you have at least four people in your party, you may schedule a private tour. Times are available any day except Fridays. If you have more than 10 attendees, you are eligible to receive discounted rates.
Dietary restrictions won’t hinder your enjoyment of a Park City food tour. This tour company has forged long-standing relationships with the restaurants they frequent and are therefore able to make accommodations for any guest. You’ll be able to take part in every aspect of the tour worry-free.
Just make sure to email or call Park City Food Tours prior to the day of your tour and inform them of any restrictions so that they can transfer the request directly to the restaurants.
